Zapiain – Next Time Take Me With You

Initially formed in 2003, three-piece punk/rock band Zapiain have taken their music all around the UK. Not only do they have two albums and consistent gigs, they pride themselves on bringing bands from elsewhere to Kirklees for a richer, more diverse musical scene. Zapiain take the best features from punk and classic rock and break through the noise with their emotional storytelling, accentuated perfectly in their latest single ‘Next Time Take Me With You’.

Ready for the next rock festival, ‘Next Time Take Me With You’ is inspired by returning to our endeavours post-global pandemic and the witnessing of historical change. The honest lyricism within this track is blanketed within catchy melodies, sitting amongst classic rock staples such as heavy guitars and pulsing bass. The urgency of the tempo mirrors our motivation to start our lives back up again, with a new outlook on everyday mundane tasks. These lyrics can also be interpreted as rekindling relationships or creative projects that have been put on hold for different reasons, returning wiser and stronger than before.

Good Good Blood

His music is the product of trusting his ear and his creative vision alike, telling stories in his own interesting way. This is an attribute I am always drawn to in an artist, especially in a genre such as folk. The intimacy of each tale sat alongside his experimental recording techniques make for a unique listening experience, reminiscent of autumn in the countryside.
