The Grand Finale for Season 2

Venue: The Terrace, Dewsbury
Date: Friday, 17th April 2026

The fourth and final installment of the Kirklees Most Wanted showcase series didn’t just end on a high note; it practically blew the roof off The Terrace in Dewsbury. Since the projects extension earlier this year, this series—supported by Arts Council England and Saving Grace Collective—has been the beating heart of the local music scene. On Friday night, the project took its “final bow,” proving that while the series may be ending, the talent in West Yorkshire is only just getting started.

The Atmosphere: Fiesta La Ginger

Setting the tone from the second the doors opened was Fiesta La Ginger. Rather than just playing “background music” during the changeovers, she curated a masterclass in vibe-management. Her blend of high-energy beats kept the 100-capacity venue buzzing between sets, ensuring that the momentum never dipped. By the time the first act hit the stage, the crowd was already primed.

Ryan Spendlove

Taking things in a blusey soulful direction, Spendlove brought his trademark grit and “rough around the edges” acoustic mastery. His set was a poignant reminder of why he’s a local legend; his songwriting—rich with themes of nostalgia and missed opportunities—felt particularly resonant given the “final showcase” theme of the evening.

ADENiCO

A true multi-instrumentalist powerhouse. Blending Soul, Indie Rock, Hip-Hop & Drum n Bass ADENiCO’s set was a showcase in genre-crossing. Fresh off his debut single “OUTSIDEUS” release his performance was grounded in a raw authenticity that commanded the room. His ability to pair introspective lyrics with contemporary production makes him one to watch for the bigger stages in 2026.

Deaf Romero

If ADENiCO brought the soul, Deaf Romero brought the riot energy. The Halifax/Huddersfield trio delivered a neon-soaked, high-octane tribute to ’90s alt-rock. With their “cartoony, punkish” energy and synth-driven chaos, they were easily the most unpredictable act of the night. Their dual vocals and eccentric storytelling (ranging from occult themes to breakfast tables) left the crowd reeling in the best way possible.

Final thoughts:

The Kirklees Most Wanted series has been more than just a string of gigs; it’s been a celebration of the “sonic soul” of the community. This final showcase was a perfect encapsulation of that mission—diverse, loud, and unapologetically local.

The Terrace proved once again to be one of the great locations for such an ambitious project. As the final curtain fell on the series, it was clear that the “Most Wanted” mission—to amplify local voices—has been a resounding success.

Highlight of the night: The transition from the soulful depth of Ryan Spendlove, the smooth genre defying grooves of Adenico, to the sheer, high octane energy of Deaf Romero. A perfect summary of Kirklees’ eclectic music scene.

The Grand Finale: Kirklees Most Wanted Returns to The Terrace for Showcase #4

The search for the region’s most electrifying talent has reached its peak. After three explosive nights that proved Huddersfield and Dewsbury is a forces to be reckoned with on the UK music map, we are back for the 4th and final installment of the Kirklees Most Wanted Showcases for this season.

On Friday, 17th April 2026, The Terrace will transform once again into a sanctuary for grassroots music. For our final bow, we’ve curated a lineup that perfectly captures the eclectic, high-energy spirit of Kirklees.

ADENiCO

ADENiCO is an independent artist from West Yorkshire blending Soul, Indie Rock and Hip-Hop into a melodic, genre-crossing sound. Known as a vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he has performed at prominent venues across the UK — including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club — and has supported artists such as Children of Zeus. His music pairs introspective lyricism with live instrumentation and contemporary production, pushing beyond genre while remaining grounded in authenticity. After over 10 years in the industry ADENiCO recently released his debut single ‘OUTSIDUES’ in collaboration with DNB DJ/producer Ventus.

DEAF ROMERO

The Vibe: Explosive, eccentric, and high-octane. Hailing from the Halifax/Huddersfield circuit, DEAF ROMERO is a trio that needs to be seen to be believed. Fresh off BBC Introducing airplay, their sound is a “cartoony,” neon-soaked tribute to ‘90s alt-rock. Expect dual vocals, synth wizardry, and stories ranging from the occult to the breakfast table. They are unpredictable, electrifying, and loud.

Reight Twang

The Vibe: Gritty, rhythmic, and unapologetically Northern. As authentic as their name suggests, Reight Twang delivers a high-octane collision of ska, punk, funk, and rock. With a distinct regional edge and a reputation for turning any floor into a pulsing crowd, their grit and groove are the perfect match for the intimate energy of The Terrace.

Supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Arts Council England and Saving Grace Collective, this series has been about more than just gigs; it’s been a celebration of the “sonic soul” of our community.
